Complaints All Over the Internet!!
I am amazed as to the unbelievable volume of complaints I am seeing on the internet about Lumber Liquidators. I just wish I would have done my research before I paid them so much money! We are getting absoulely nowhere with their unfair complaint process. I have never in my life seen so many complaints about one company. Take a look at this link at http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Lumber_Liquidators - there are two pages of customer after customer writing about their bad experiences with Lumber Liquidator's products, customer service and/or complaint process. My favorite is the first customer on the page, who suggests that "Lumber Liquidators should change their name to Customer Liquidators." That is funny, but unfortunately a very good point!

BEWARE OF LUMBER LIQUIDATORS!!!!!
Our experience with Lumber Liquidators has been a complete nightmare...the only thing worse than their defective hardwood products is their defective customer service and unbelievably unfair and very frustrating claims/refunds/return policies, which have already taken us almost a month with no results at all yet. In fact, they have transferred our file to the legal department, where nobody returns our calls or emails. They have our money, but have stopped taking our calls!!! Below see pictures of how our house has looked for weeks now as a result of their work. Look through the rest of my blog for more pictures of the condition our house is in now after they struck. Do your research before givinug them a penny of your hard-earned money!

Beware of Lumber Liquidators!!!
Please read my other posts in this blog. If you are considering purchasing any flooring from Lumber Liquidators, please do yourself a favor and do your research!! Do a google search for lumber liquidator complaints and you'll be shocked to see the amount of complaints on this Company! I own a busy company and feel like I have no free time, yet I have taken hours and hours of the little time I do have to create this blog, purchase domain names, take dozens of photographs, write several posts on this topic and continue to try to reach out to other potential future victims of their claims process. See some of my other posts in my blogs to see the pictures and learn more about what has occurred here.
In sum, we purchased hardwood from Lumber Liquidators a month ago. The wood turned out to be defective, but their installers kept installing the defective wood any way. They didn't even point it out to us; rather, we had to point it out to them, at which time they immediately agreed it was terrible and needed to be replaced. The boards were different heights, creating uneven surfaces all over. This delayed our project, but we were patient. They delivered different wood, and that wood had the same defects, conceded by their crew. More delays. Days later, they brought another crew because the crew blamed it on the wood and the store blamed it on the crew, even though they work together on these projects. The new crew also conceded both deliveries of the wood were defective. More delays now. We tried to work things out with the store, but they pointed out to us their very unfavorable and unfair and contract terms in the Agreement they have their customers sign. They said we'd have to go through their corporate department for resolution.
We had to make arrangements for their corporate office, located in Virginia, to receive a sample of the product. More delays to our project. It is important to note that during this entire process our house remains a mess, there are unfinished rooms and hallways in the house, uneven flooring, loose boards, their trash they left everywher, empty boxes and other debris all over the place, and it is extremely difficult even to walk in the house. (See the pictures in my other posts - if you choose to use this Company, your house could possibly look the same!!). After almost another week, corporate finally also admitted the wood was defective. But that doesn't resolve the problem yet, because once that is established the file gets transferred to another department! More delays! Eventually, days later, we speak with someone in the claims department, who offers to give us our money back we spent on only some of the wood - but with a huge catch! They aren't giving us our money back we spent on installation, they are only giving us money back on some of the wood but not all of it and, best of all, they will not pay for someone to come and tear out the defective wood that has been nailed to our floors! So we would still end up losing over half of the money we spent, and we'd still have to pay thousands of dollars to have the defective wood torn out!
We let this individual know that was an unfair resolution. We attempted to work something out that would be more fair, and then they sent us a Release Agreement to sign that had different terms in it than what we had spoken about on the phone! More delays. We went back and forth with them, but ultimately when we didn't want to give in to their unfair terms they stopped talking to us and transferred our file to their legal department! Since that happened days ago, nobody is returning our calls or emails, nobody is willing to provide us any contact information for anyone in the legal department and we are still left sitting here in our messy and extremely unsafe house waiting for something to happen! It has been almost a month now since we received the defective wood.
If you have children, pets, elderly or disabled individuals living in your household listen carefully to our story...can you imagine having your house looking like ours for almost a month? What started as a fun idea to improve our house has turned into a nightmare, with our house completely trashed!
I will continue to write about our experience with Lumber Liquidators as this process continues so everyone is filled in. I wish we would have contacted another company and never contacted Lumber Liquidators! Post a comment on this blog or email me at traphaely7@yahoo.com if you want to share information about your experience, or if you want more information from me.

More pictures of Lumber Liquidators Job
Please click on the link below to view these pictures. This is how their installers left our house; as you can see clearly in these pictures, the job is not complete, there is trash everywhere, and there are rooms and hallways half-done with varying floor heights as a result, loose boards and huge gaps in between boards. Our house has now been like this for weeks, completely disrupting our lives, leaving us in constant terrible moods, and honestly at each other's throats! Nobody at Lumber Liquidators is taking our calls at this time. Today I called once again several times. The only thing I was told was that their legal department will get back to us when they do, nobody can tell us how long it will take, and nobody can tell us whether they will do anything to help us. From our experience, once a customer does not agree to the unfair terms they decide on in resolving any problems, then it "goes to legal", and the customer then simply has no choice but to wait and wait and wait to hear from someone while the customer's house is a disaster.

More Pictures of Lumber Liquidators Job
See these pictures, showing the condition the installers sent by Lumber Liquidators left our house. Note how the dangerous difference in floor height caused by the unfinished project is even deeper than the thickness of my blackberry! Also note the trash left by them and the hardwood that is now loose on the floor!

I wrote about our terrible experiences with Lumber Liquidators. I am curious to hear from others who also have had problems with this Company. Please comment or email me at traphaely7@yahoo.com if you want to share your experience.
Beware of Lumber Liquidators!!!
We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience with Lumber Liquidators, a flooring company that does a lot of advertising and does business in Maryland (not sure about other states). The wood they sold us is defective. They tried to get away with installing it anyway. We had to wait almost a week for them to come and inspect it before they acknowledged there was a problem. They then tried different wood, which was also defective. The process took another week. They tried two different teams of their installers. Their installers blamed the store and the store blamed the installers. We complained to the store, but they said they can't help us and we'd have to go through corporate, located in Virginia. We had to wait about another week until corporate acknowledged there was a problem. They then transferred our file to another department, their claims department. It took almost another week for that person to begin working with us. The solutions that person came up with were extremely unfair. When we weren't willing to agree to their unfair terms for working this out they stopped helping us, told us the file was now transferred to their legal department, and stopped responding to our emails and phone calls. Now it's been several more days and we can't get hold of anyone, and they won't even give us the contact information for their legal department! In the meantime, it's been almost a month since the problems started and there is no end in sight! Their installers left our house in a terrible mess, with their trash and empty boxes everywhere. Moreover, they obviously haven't finished the job and we have hallways and rooms that are half-done. As a result, we have very uneven walkways in the house, causing a major safety hazard. We have emailed them pictures, but they just don't even respond to us at all!
I have never ever witnessed such a tough time dealing with a company in my life! This process has been an absolute nightmare! Please consider this before you choose to deal with this Company! I do not want anyone to have to go through what we're going through now. We have spent almost $12,000 but yet have nothing but defective, uneven and dangerous wood in our house.
Email me at traphaely7@yahoo.com if you want to get more information from me about this experience. Again, please learn from our experience and do not make the same mistake we did!
